last Tuesday we took the advantage of yet another clear day to head into the Pentlands; Scald Law summit has the best views.
We have had a good busy month with plenty of footfall through the 'Storytellers' show.
Still a couple of weeks to see the work by Lucy Campbell, Leo du Feu and others...
(Maybe due to the look on the recipients face, as it was a surprise present!)
much as I try to live in that present moment, the coming months need attention! I am starting to work on ideas and new 'things' for my own show in November (and thinking about assembling next year's calendar!)....
forward with great
eagerness to the September show with new work by Senja Bownes
'Machrihanish, McTaggart and Me' opens on the 14th September and shows Senja's summer journey as she follows in the footsteps of her painting hero from Machrihanish in the west to the Lothian coast, painting all the way.
Senja will become even more familiar to everyone in the coming months as she is moving in as our second 'resident' artist, occupying a wall of the back room and popping in for occasional painting demos; I'll keep you posted!
7th - 15th September at the Arusha Gallery on Palmerston Place;
show organised by the legendary fine art courier 'Agent' Ali McAuley.
Ali's unrivalled access to the artists of Scotland has led to this excellent show featuring some of the better known artists of the nation - and me!
(Bon P will also be involved with the catering for the opening.... will there be scones?!)
