The light on the land

Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of year in Scotland (in my humble opinion), so a perfect spot for a showcase of some stunning landscapes.
Most of the artists have shown with us before over our four-and-a-half years in existence at Bon P, so it is great to see new work from familiar faces, who have become friends..... 

One artist who is new to us is Rich Johnson, who also runs the Coldstream Gallery with his wife Laura. They are working really hard down in the borders and have created a beautiful space full of fantastic art, including Rich's landscapes and figurative work, which we will also be seeing in Bon P soon. You might see a few of my paintings down there too, as we have a bit of a mutual appreciation society going on.....

I hope Tom Sutton Smith needs no introduction! A popular artist since pretty much our very first show, we are delighted that he has kept us stocked over the years with his vibrant landscapes and still lifes. For this show we have some local landscapes and a couple from his travels abroad.

It has been a year or so since we last showed Senja's work; in that time she has married (changing from Bownes to Brendon, but still the same Senja!)and produced a huge body of work concentrating on the west coast around Machrihanish. She showed all summer on the Isle of Jura and will be seen again at this autumn's Edinburgh Art Fair.
We have some beautiful east coast land/seascapes from Senja for this show including this one: 'Reflections, Belhaven bay'.
