From paintings, my palette and sketch.
From the cafe, a fresh 'sweet sour-cherry cake'.
Stuart midway through a triple frame for a piece by Fraser Crawford. This is in the 'bare wood' stage before the painting and polishing begin; the frame is made up of an inner 'slip' which will be gold, and two outer frames interlocking, which will be black with a red underpainting, giving subtle flashes of the red when it is polished back.
This one is going on show at the Braewell Gallery on Dundas Street.
