I always associate the autumn colours with holidays, as this was the time that we visited Scotland in all it's glory when I was at school; the yellow birches radiant against blues skies with clouds flying by. Swapping London for the far north was a sure way to set the mind racing with ideas and the spirit lifting with the invigorating days.
Delighted to report that our friend and gallery artist Senja Bownes chose this time of year to escape to the wild beaches of the west coast that she loves to paint, this time to marry her fiancee Dominic. Congratulations both of you and to Senja's talented sister Tiree Dawson for the amazing photography (below).
I would repeat last year's "call to arms" blog, but I think there is a better awareness this year of what we offer and the message to think local seems, to my mind, to be getting through! Hoping for a bumper run-up to the holidays this year!! Scones, calendars, art, mugs and framing - with a warm welcome of course...
