This week we have been eating cake.
Wednesday night was spent at the very lovely Craigie's Fruit Farm at the latest Edinburgh Cake Ladies meeting. All cakes were fruit themed, thus giving the illusion of health while actually overdosing on sugar. Stuart's nectarine and cinnamon cake with crunchy topping was a bit of a favourite!
Came in handy for Stuart's plum and lavender compote on Wednesday night!
With a middle eastern theme, everything was memorable and delicious; the pudding was amazing.
One week until the team head off for our summer break - so a reminder that Bon Papillon will be closed for a rest from 8th - 12th July inclusive.
A new display on the cafe wall tells the story of my artistic activity this month, which has been pretty constant!
